YT Stats Bot

About YT Stats Bot & Its Creator

Hey! I'm @Resad — the person behind YT Stats Bot. I originally built this bot because I couldn't find anything that worked the way I wanted… so I just made it myself. What started as a little side project has grown into something much bigger — a tool used by thousands of Discord communities to track YouTube (and now Twitch & Kick) stats in real time.

How It All Started

Back in 2020, I kicked off the first version of the bot. It was basic, buggy, and honestly… not something I'd show off today. Like most developers, I hit some walls and even took a break from it for a while.

A good friend gave me the push I needed to come back. In 2021, I returned to the project with fresh ideas and a new mindset — aiming to make it actually useful and enjoyable to use.

Powered by the Community

The bot wouldn't be where it is today without the amazing people who use it. In 2022, I created a support server where people could share feedback, report bugs, and suggest features. Many of the updates you see today were born from those conversations.

Huge thanks to everyone who's been part of this journey — from the early testers to the active community members who keep the ideas flowing.

Getting Better Every Year

In late 2024, I launched this website as a way to make managing the bot easier for everyone — and maybe even to cover a bit of the hosting cost. Since then, especially in 2025, I've rolled out some huge changes: support for Twitch and Kick, a complete overhaul of all commands, and a big refresh of this site to make it faster and cleaner.

The Challenges of Growth

At first, I ran the bot on completely free hosting — but as more and more servers started using it, free hosting just couldn't keep up. Today, it runs on a paid server to handle the load reliably.

As a cybersecurity student, taking on monthly hosting costs was a big decision — but it's worth it knowing the bot now runs on 4,500+ 6,350+ servers without breaking a sweat.

Behind the Scenes

Here's a peek at early development — late-night coding sessions, testing features before release, and fixing bugs right as they're reported. The work never stops… but that's the fun of it.

How You Can Support

If you like what the bot does and want to help it grow, you can support it on Patreon. Every bit helps cover server costs and lets me focus on adding cool new features instead of just keeping the lights on.

What's Next?

I'm not planning stopping the support. You can expect more updates, better features, and maybe a few surprises along the way — all shaped by feedback from you and the rest of the community.

Thanks for being part of this journey. Whether you've been here since the start or you just found the bot today — you're awesome. ❤️
